DESCRIPTION:Victoria Malenfant – vocals\, Andrei Stratan – clarinet\, alto saxophone\, José Brites – guitars\, Alex Johnson – drums\, Juan Quintero – bass. \nVictoria Malenfant is a French vocalist based in Montreal. Born in Paris\, she spent most of her childhood in France\, but her family eventually settled in Montreal. Her first taste of the stage came in her teens\, with theater\, which later led to singing. During her studies in music\, she took part in two musicals\, winning the lead role in Company (Stephen Sondheim); she followed this up with Footloose produced by Productions 90′. In September 2022\, she won first prize in the Concours de la relève du Festival de Jazz de Sutton\, and that same year co-composed and performed the musical score for Old Charlotte Productions’ new magic and circus show La Reine des Rats.
