He studied jazz with Matthieu Van Vliet at Cégep Marie-Victorin and completed a bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance at McGill University under the supervision of Jean-Nicolas Trottier. Since then\, he has collaborated with a multitude of artists\, including Alex Le Blanc\, Benoît Charest\, Steve Hill\, Anomalie\, and Urban Science Brass Band. He also devotes part of his time to teaching trombone in several high schools and at the Cégep de Drummondville. \n

SUMMARY:NEW EVENT! Emerging Talent Contest (Sutton Jazz & Centre de Musique Victor)
DESCRIPTION:In collaboration with the Centre de Musique Victor\, Sutton Jazz is organizing for the first time this year an emerging talent competition for young jazz musicians at CEGEP and university level. The purpose of the competition is to present talented young musicians thus offering them visibility in our region. The ensembles will be judged during a performance taking place on September 3\, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Salle Alec et Gérard Pelletier.  \nAt the end of the concert\, a jury will select the winning ensemble. As a partner\, the Centre de Musique Victor will be awarding the participants prizes worth $1000. The winning ensemble will also have the opportunity to perform and be paid at the next edition of Sutton Jazz in the summer of 2023. \nAdmission to this concert is free\, so come and support the new generation!

For almost thirty years\, she taught jazz repertoire\, interpretation\, and voice technique at Concordia University. She was the founder and director of the McGill Jazz Vocal Ensemble at McGill University.
