Created in 2024 by two musicians from the Université de Montréal\, the duo offers a colorful amalgam of arranged pieces and a vast repertoire spanning jazz\, blues\, Latin\, bossa and more. Their performances are unique experiences that take us back to the 40s and 60s\, sailing under the influences of Sarah Vaughan\, Anita O’day\, Carmen Mcrae\, Charlie Parker and Ella Fitzgerald. Since its creation\, the duo has been made up of jazz vocalist Marie-Soleil Lambert and Jean-Félix Lagahe on piano. The Blue Sun Duo is an explosive source of creativity and interaction\, transporting listeners into a warm\, melodious atmosphere.

DESCRIPTION:Saxophonist\, composer and arranger Jean-Pierre Zanella is much sought-after on the Quebec music scene. He obtained his Master’s degree in Jazz from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester N.Y. in 1982.Zanella has forged strong ties and recorded with Brazilian artists such as Marcos Valle\, Altay Veloso\, the group Boca Livre and pianist Marcos Ariel. He has also been awarded Ordem do Rio Branco by the Brazilian government. \nHe has eight solo albums to his credit\, several of which have received nominations (Juno\, Félix). Mystic Infancy \, Puzzle City and Mother Tree won the Opus award for best jazz album. In 2012\, he was awarded the André Gagnon prize by SPACQ. Zanella is the recipient of the 2011 Oscar Peterson Award presented by the Montreal Jazz Festival for his contribution to the Canadian jazz scene. \nBring your chair

Since its creation\, the duo has consisted of jazz vocalist Marie-Soleil Lambert and Jean-Félix Lagahe on piano. The Blue Sun Duo is undoubtedly an explosive source of creativity and interaction\, transporting listeners into a melodious and warm atmosphere.

SUMMARY:VIGNOBLE DOMAINE BRESEEBen Gilbert / Dominique Poirier
DESCRIPTION:Curious and bursting with creativity\, multi-instrumentalist Dominique Poirier grew up in Oka and began playing piano at around the age of six before turning to guitar lessons. As a teenager\, he developed a passion for blues and jazz\, which led him to pursue college studies in guitar at Cégep de Saint-Laurent. He deepened his mastery of his instrument and developed a love for composition. \nHis musical explorations allowed him to strengthen his penchant for performing on stage. As a composer and performer\, he toured extensively with various jazz and popular music projects. \nHaving always had an affinity for the accordion\, it was in 2018 that he embraced the instrument more seriously. It was love at first sight. The accordion allowed him to combine melody\, improvisation\, and accompaniment simultaneously. He was fascinated by the instrument’s versatility and its presence in several styles of music\, including jazz\, classical\, and folk. He is currently pursuing studies in jazz accordion at Concordia University.
