“After a first album centered on the jazz tradition of the 60s, between funk, swing and fusion, the group ventures into new territories and new sounds with their next album “aube/nocturne”, to be released in spring 2023. It’s an anthology of 18 eclectic and daring songs, oscillating between moments of high-flying improvisation and skilfully composed and performed passages. We can hear them at times in love with the ardor of swing and grooves that border on rock, even metal, and at other times abandoning themselves to the lyricism of gentle melodies influenced by the contemporary and traditional songs heard in Quebec. In short, this is music that moves forward in all sorts of directions, but with very precise anchors and, above all, a deep dedication to sharing with each other and with the audience on stage.
