Captivating, gentle, vibrant, and passionate—that’s the Blue Sun Duo. Created in 2024 by two musicians from the University of Montreal, the duo offers a colorful mix of arranged pieces and a vast repertoire spanning jazz, blues, Latin, bossa nova, and more. Their performances are unique experiences that take us back to the 1940s-1960s, navigating the influences of Sarah Vaughan, Anita O’Day, Carmen McRae, Charlie Parker, and Ella Fitzgerald. Since its creation, the duo has consisted of jazz vocalist Marie-Soleil Lambert and Jean-Félix Lagahe on piano. The Blue Sun Duo is undoubtedly an explosive source of creativity and interaction, transporting listeners into a melodious and warm atmosphere.
