Les Fous du Roi is a gypsy jazz quartet based in Sherbrooke, driven by a passion for the masters of the genre while drawing inspiration from artists with diverse backgrounds. Driven by a desire to explore and revitalize tradition, the ensemble is dedicated to creating and performing original compositions. Currently in the works, their debut album will showcase this artistic approach. Featuring guitarists William Blaney and Philippe Belley, clarinetist Gisèle Blanchard-Girardin, and double bassist Jean-Philippe Gagnon, the group offers a sound that is both rooted in authenticity and resolutely focused on the present.
