Marie Lambert Quartet
Marie-Soleil Lambert is a jazz vocalist, composer, arranger, and improviser. Passionate about jazz, scat singing, creativity, and songwriting, she is inspired by life and art. Her music, which transports and moves us, offers an original repertoire blending reimagined jazz standards (from bebop, Latin, hard bop, fusion, and other styles) with more contemporary arrangements. Influenced by Ella Fitzgerald, Thelonious Monk, Anita O’Day, Joni Mitchell, and Flora Purim, she strikes a balance between familiarity and discovery, delivering a performance that is at once elegant, spontaneous, and deeply engaging.
With a mature, soulful, and versatile voice, as well as an authentic, swinging phrasing, Marie-Soleil is accompanied by top-tier musicians (Loic Du Sablon, Sam Fortin, Fred Alarie), all graduates of the McGill Schulich School of Music.
