Trumpeter Rachel Therrien has established herself as one of the most innovative voices working at the intersection of jazz and world music. This Latin Jazz Project is the result of her graduate studies at the Instituto Superior de Arte in Havana and her extensive musical experiences in Latin America and the Caribbean. With this exceptional ensemble, she presents a festive repertoire featuring original compositions and covers of Afro-Latin jazz classics. From salsa to danzón, from rumba to cha-cha-cha, Rachel and her virtuoso bandmates will sweep you up in the rhythms of Cuba, Mexico, Colombia, and Haiti, among others.
